In 2008, the Prize Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation/ Lisbon Oceanarium: Sustainable Governance of the Oceans was given to the Project she coordinates MarGov – Colaborative Governance of Protected Marine Areas2, which aims to construct, with the social and institutional actors, a Model of Collaborative Governance for the Marine Park Prof.Luiz Saldanha, replicable and adaptable to other Protected Marine Areas. She also has coordinated P-GERE3, a Project targeting the development of an integrated model for the location and implementation of waste management infra-structures.

In 2006, she coordinated the participative process of Cova da Moura4,a Project in the context of urban policy directed to the development of innovative processes and policies in Critical Neighbourhoods. She was also responsible for structuring, coordinating and conducting the Participatory Forums of the campaign Douro Limpo5,aiming at the enlarged involvement of the population for environmental awareness and for citizens mobilization, making them changing agents in the waste management in the area of the Alto Douro Vinhateiro.
